How To Change Default Installation Location Windows 10

Hi guys!

I've been trying to modify the default install location to my D: drive, this was my initial idea when edifice my PC so manifestly the D: bulldoze has a lot more chapters than the master bulldoze, which I was planning on using but for Windows software. However, everything is getting installed automatically to the C: drive which is now maxed out. For some reason, at moment of installation I'grand never asked in what folder I'd similar for the programme to be in.

I tried going to Settings > System > Apps & Features, but the Move feature is grayed out.

I likewise tried changing the Regedit >HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion >ProgramFilesDir path, but programs are all the same installing in the C: drive

So, what do I need to practise to select in what folder I want programs to be installed in? I searched online and information technology appears a lot of people are having this trouble too, but no solution for Windows x.

I would greatly appreciate a solution, thank you!

As that is a question for full general organization info and this is the site for testing of Preview builds of Windows 10, may I advise that you ask that question in a search bar of Google or Bing, also you lot could only move some of the files from c to d and free up space on the c drive every bit when I build a arrangement I always apply a smaller drive for c and install just the OS on information technology  and a larger drive for storage and programs

If you have a way to movement the drives you could remove the D: bulldoze and hook it up externally and using any of the gratis programs clone the internal C: drive to the external and so remove the internal existing bulldoze and supercede it with the new cloned drive so that the new drive which is larger is the organisation C: bulldoze.

I don't want to have to open up up the PC again though, it's a small case and hard to make everything fit already. Also, there has to exist a way to change the default install binder, the but option shouldn't be to open the PC

The two solutions that I mentioned, I tried them because I plant them online. Non of them worked and I couldn't discover any more than possible solutions, which is why I concluded upwards here

Also, that's exactly what I want! The C: for Bone and D: for everything else. I tried moving it manually because nothing plant online was working, just even that didn't work, what was being sent to D: was simply a blank folder

(when I was creating the question none of the categories available seemed quite right, so I just went with whatever had been automatically set, sorry)
